Veronica is having surgery

...in two weeks, and will be laid up a week after that in the hospital, recovering.

Major back surgery. Ouch.

I send her my love, of course (Veronica being, among other things, my girlfriend - for those tuning in late) and I'm going to do my best to get down to her neck of the woods in Encinitas afterwards.

And I wish her well, too. I know someone who also had back surgery. It was quite a recovery ordeal for her.

Well, she's an old and continual flame. Long distance relationship - don't get to see her that much, but if we've lasted 2.5 years...
