For great silly, and to remind Ben Lehman that I still want feedback. Four months of silence, Ben. NOT COOL.
...I understand you're busy, but still, you could have at least shot off another "I'm busy." Grr. No harm done.
So, under the cut, one of every card type.
Bliss Stage copyright 2007 Ben Lehman. BS:TCG copyright 2008 Elliott Belser.
----
Mambo #5
...a little bit of Yukiko in my life, a little bit of Meredith by my side...
Cost: Gain 2 Bliss
(Keenan's mecha bristling with a truly ludicrous amount of weaponry, while a chibi Laura, Yukiko, and Meredith swoon over him.)
TACTIC
You must Pick any Attempting Pilot.
When you do, this Attempt, that Pilot gains an amount of Power equal to twice thier number of outgoing Relationships.
"...a little bit of Laura in the sun, a little bit of Anna all night long, a little bit of Sara-"
"This is the point where you can officially shut the fuck up, Keenan."
Uncommon Diag 110/224.
----
Partially there just for the joke flavor text, this card is pretty bad unless you have someone in play with 4 rels - Anna Lin (Seasoned Veteran), Sarah Greene (Boundless Optimist) and Keenan Caine (Carefree Hedonist) come to mind. In which case 8 Power for 2 Bliss is just GOOD.
----
Intimacy 3 Trust 2 up
Gabriel Hunter
Rising Hero
Cost: 5 Bliss
(A girl with a long blond braid down to her shoulderblades and brown eyes with bags underneath them, in aplugsuit ANIMa flightsuit, wearily stepping out of her ANIMa built on the ruins of the MacArthur BART station.)
Intimacy 2 Trust 2 left - Intimacy 2 Trust 2 right
CHARACTER - Pilot
If Gabriel Hunter could Attempt an Objective at the start of your Mission Phase, she must attempt one.
"Sir. Allow me to take this mission on myself. Someone has to."
Rare Diag 66/225
4 Intimacy 3 Trust down.
----
Based on one of the characters from the failed pan-bay area game, with the permission of her creator. She kicks ASS if she has a strong, trusting support network: she will destroy herself if she doesn't.
----
Engage Terror Drone!
Too long have they ended us in darkness and in fire. NO MORE.
Cost: 3 Bliss
(A Creepy Fractal Giant blowing up a skyscraper with laser eyebeams.)
OBJECTIVE - Military
2 Hope: Victory - Difficulty 8
Whenever any player attempts to complete any Objective, thier Nightmare must pick any character the Attempting player controls. When they do, thier Nightmare deals 3 Stress to that Character.
Common DIAG 1/224
----
A staple of any Hope For Victory deck and many Bliss Out decks. The fact that it doesn't have to target Pilots is pretty nice.
----
Reborn In Your Arms
Shhh... it's okay. It's okay.
Cost: 3 Bliss.
(On a bed with strategically draped sheets are: Breea Combs, a tall, freckled redhead, from the back, cradling the short brown-haired pilot Hamish Conan Holmes (blame her player Andrea) in her arms. Hamish is crying and has mooshed his face into Breea's boobs.)
INTERLUDE
You must pick any Character and choose one of the following options:
Option 1: Pick another Character with at least 4 Trust with the first Character.
Option 2: Pick another Character with at least 4 Intimacy with the first Character.
When you do, remove 1 Trauma from the first Character. If the second Character has both at least 4 Trust and at least 4 Intimacy, remove 2 Trauma from the first character.
Uncommon DIAG 104/224
----
Based with Andrea's permission on a scene from a game I played with Andy: after a disastrous mission, Hamish's Anchor just scooped him up, made love to him, and held him until he stopped crying. We ruled it was Trust Building, due to "Never going to let you go, so releived to be with you again" type-dialog, but Trauma Relief was a strong contender too.
This card is just awesome if you play with any Devoted Lover-archtype Pilots at all - Hamish C. Homes (Elementary, My Dear Breea) and Poinsettia Hawthorne (Devoted Lover) in particular - though it works with any Interlude-heavy or Hope for Humanity deck, in my experience.
----
Noxious Smokes
They can choke you with vapors from an alien sky
Cost: 5 Terror
(Gas attack! Anna Lin, with a wet hanky over her mouth and nose, punches the alarm button.)
NIGHTMARE
You must Pick any Character.
When you do, deal 1 Stress to that Character. Then, deal 1 Stress to each Character with a Relationship to that Character.
Rare DIAG 45/224
----
Just brutal in a Bliss Out deck, backed by additional damage-dealing Nightmares and effects that increase Stress.
----
And that's all. I have, in fact, played a few games - this is what the comments on the decks they work in are based on.
